How Should I Format My Query Letter?

Created by Eric Sorrells, Modified on Thu, 6 Nov at 8:57 PM by Eric Sorrells

In Querier, your query letter can be used in two different ways:

  1. Most of the time, it will be used in the body of an email submission
  2. However, there are some agents who request query letters as an attachment

Querier will handle both of these situations for you, and you only have to enter you query letter once!

Query Letters In The Email Body

To help make your email easier for agents to read, Querier will automatically block-format your query letter when used in the body of an email. This means it will:

  • left-align all text
  • remove indentations
  • double-space between paragraphs
  • attempt to maintain bold, italic, and underlined stylings

Query Letters In Attachments

When your email is used in an attachment, Querier will maintain all the formatting you add in your query template. Be sure to determine how you would like to present your letter!
